Group Fitness Classes

Wellness Centre
Age Requirements

Youth ages 11-13 must workout with a parent/guardian (18+)
Ages 14 years or older can use the wellness centre unaccompained

Youth Spin:

In youth spin you are led by an instructor who takes you through a variety of cycling drills and positions. The classes can be as hard or easy as you want. You are in control of the workout. Be sure to bring a towel and water bottle. Spaces are limited.
Participants must be 10-14 years of age.

Thursdays 5:00-5:45 pm
Non-members $6.50

Kids Yoga:

(must register - limit of 12 participants)
Kids ages 6 to 10 will enjoy learning and practicing yoga. This class incorporates yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation. Kids Yoga is an amazing outlet that enhances concentration, balance, empathy, gratitude, strength, calmness, and flexibility.

Mondays 5:15-6:00 pm (program room)

Stronger Kidz:

(must register - limit of 10 participants)
This program is geared towards strengthening preteens knowledge on nutrition, fitness goals and overall wellness. The program will be split between application based learning and a full body workout.
Participants must be 10 - 14 years of age.

Tuesdays 6:00-7:00 pm

Zumba Kids Jr:

Zumba Kids Jr. classes are rockin’, high-energy dance parties packed with kid-friendly routines. We break down steps, add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class structure.

Seniors

Group Fitness Classes

Senior Fit:

This is a program designed for seniors that will incorporate balance, flexibility, cardiovascular exercise and muscle endurance for a full-body workout. A benefit of this program will be improved body coordination so all participants will be decreasing their risk of injury and improving their body’s functioning in everyday life.
Participants must be 55 years of age or older.

 

Senior Spin:

In senior spin you are led by an instructor who will take you through a variety of cycling drills and positions. These classes can be as hard or easy as you want. You are in control of the workout. Be sure to bring a towel and water bottle. Spaces are limited.
Participants must be 55 years of age or older.

 

Senior Cycle Fit:

Senior Cycle Fit combines a regular spin class with the added benefits of resistance training off the bike. The workout begins with some spinning on the bike and ends with a full body workout on a mat. Be sure to bring a towel and water bottle.
Participants must be 55 years of age or older.

 

Adult

Spin:

Cycle Fit:

Cycle Fit combines a regular spin class with the added benefits of resistance training off the bike. The workout begins with some spinning on the bike and ends with a full body workout on a mat. Be sure to bring a towel and water bottle.

 

Barbell Fit:

his class utilizes barbells and provides you with a full-body workout. Each class combines traditional and non-traditional barbell exercises along with core exercises
that will get your heart rate up and muscles burning.

 

Bootcamp 60:

Need a little push to help you reach your health and fitness goals? The Centre’s Boot camp 60 is just for you! In this class participants will push their bodies to the limit by working out in a fast paced environment and utilizing multiple muscle groups. Each class features tough boot camp style exercises that will give participants a fun and challenging workout.

 

Zero Gravity & Core:

Fight gravity all the way. This class incorporates functional movement with gravitational pull. Our body suspension system will challenge your balance and stability while working your core at the same time.

 

Piloxing®: (specialty class)

Piloxing® is a high-energy interval workout that uniquely blends the power, speed, and agility of boxing with the targeted sculpting and flexibility of pilates. Add to that fun dance moves and you have a workout that will tone muscle, burn fat and empower you both physically and mentally.

 

Sculpt:

Sculpt is a low-impact, floor based class that uses hand weights and other studio equipment to condition and sculpt all body parts. This class is ideal for anyone looking for an intense toning class. Exercises combining the upper and lower body will strengthen, tone, shape and condition your abs, legs, arms and everything in between – an entire body workout.

 

Pickleball:

Pickle-what? Pickleball is a multi-generational paddle sport created for all skill levels and combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Pickleball is played both indoors or outdoors and can be played as singles or doubles. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can also develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Come out and give Pickleball a try!

Spin & Circuit:

Get the cardiovascular benefits of a spin class plus the added benefits of muscular endurance and strengthening from circuit training. In Spin & Circuit you will be on a spin bike for the first part of the workout and doing a full body circuit for the second part of the workout. During the circuit portion you will be going exercise to exercise with little breaks in between for a calorie burning full body workout. So come out and see what all the hype is about!

 

Zumba: (specialty class)

This class blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy Award-winning producers, and contagious steps to form a “fitness-party” that is downright addictive. Zumba mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning workout. So, what are you waiting for? Come out and try Zumba today!

 

Hatha Yoga: (specialty class)

This classic yoga class cultivates deeper awareness of the poses, attention to alignment, understanding of breathing techniques, and exploration of the mind and body. Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in the world. Hatha Yoga uses postures (asana) and conscious breathing (Pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength, flexibility, relaxation, mindfulness, and joy in the yoga poses.

 

Gentle Yoga & Stretching: (specialty class)

This is a therapeutic yoga class that improves your range of motion, releases stress, and leaves your body feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Traditional yoga poses including stretches, balance exercises and strengthening exercises are all done using a chair. All fitness levels are welcome!
